I was quite impressed with that safe food system when I received an automated call last night from Costco, recalling boxes of fresh nectarines due to possibility of listeria contamination. And then I saw a news report tonight stating the same thing, and that the fruit could be returned for a full refund.

Just one little problem, I bought that box of nectarines over a month ago, and they are long gone. Yup, really safe food system.
