I have Baltimore Orioles, lots and lots of them!! The dark red Oriole is still here, and a couple of others that aren’t the normal coloring. There seems to be a wide variety of coloring this year.

It’s so much fun watching them squabble, and they’re quite noisy about it too. Here’s a couple of grosbeaks,IMG_3188copy-2013-05-22-12-18.jpg
I had an Indigo Bunting, but didn’t have the camera handy, darn it! Here’s a movie of the orioles this morning,

An exciting day at the bird feeder this morning!!! A scarlet tanager!!!! And the dark Baltimore Oriole came back with the rest of the bunch. I had six boys here this morning (seven if you include the dark one), and one poor female.

Awww, that was so cool! A daddy Baltimore Oriole came to the feeder and grabbed a beak full of grape jelly and then fed it to one of his babies.

Here’s Papa,

Here’s one of the babies. Papa grabbed a beak full of jelly and went and stuffed it into the baby’s mouth, who was sitting on the shepherd’s hook screeching.

Talk about doing the splits!
